Building a Sustainable Group Practice
A practical training on stabilizing your finances, operations, and client flow

The group practice landscape has changed—and many owners are feeling it.

Between increased administrative demands, shifting referral patterns, and growing competition from corporate practices, what used to “work” may no longer be enough to keep your practice stable and sustainable.

This training helps you step back, understand what’s changed, and put a clear plan in place so your practice can adapt—without trying to overhaul everything at once.

Date: March 17th 10am CT
Price: $29

*Exchange members: no need to register, you already have access to this webinar inside your membership!

In this training, we cover:
  • The current industry shifts impacting group practices
  • Why client flow and visibility look different than they used to
  • How financial and operational strain shows up when systems aren’t aligned
  • The role of proactive hiring and clear role definitions
  • Why regular audits matter—and what to actually audit
  • How to create a simple, realistic 6-month sustainability plan focused on steady improvement
Rather than reacting to problems as they arise, you’ll learn how to approach sustainability intentionally—addressing one key area at a time so changes are manageable and effective.
Meet Maureen
Hi there! I’m Maureen Hermann, LCPC, and I’ve traversed the challenging but rewarding journey from launching a private practice to scaling it into a thriving group business. Like many in the social service field, I graduated without a clue on how to run a business. Yet, through relentless research, trial, and error, I uncovered effective strategies and pitfalls of managing a counseling group practice.

My passion lies in demystifying this process for others. At The Group Practice Exchange, I aim to be the resource I once wished for-offering guidance that’s not only about the mechanics of starting and growing a practice but also about mastering the nuances of leadership within the health sector.

As a founder and owner of Urban Wellness, a flourishing multi-location group practice in Chicago, I have firsthand experience in balancing the dual goals of making a significant social impact and running a successful business. I understand that many healthcare professionals prioritize direct service over business management, and that’s precisely where I can help.

Through The Group Practice Exchange, I share my insights and learnings as a coach, educator, and trainer dedicated to social service professionals. Whether it’s hosting The Group Practice Exchange Podcast, co-hosting the Group Practice Owners Summit, or working as a certified Fix This Next advisor, my ultimate mission is to equip group practice owners not just to succeed in business but to amplify their impact on the communities they serve.

Let’s make your practice a beacon of well-being and organizational excellence!
