Hi there! I’m Maureen Werrbach Hermann, LCPC, and I’ve traversed the challenging but rewarding journey from launching a private practice to scaling it into a thriving group business. Like many in the social service field, I graduated without a clue on how to run a business. Yet, through relentless research, trial, and error, I uncovered effective strategies and pitfalls of managing a counseling group practice. 

My passion lies in demystifying this process for others. At The Group Practice Exchange, I aim to be the resource I once wished for-offering guidance that’s not only about the mechanics of starting and growing a practice but also about mastering the nuances of leadership within the health sector.

As a founder and owner of Urban Wellness, a flourishing multi-location group practice in Chicago, I have firsthand experience in balancing the dual goals of making a significant social impact and running a successful business. I understand that many healthcare professionals prioritize direct service over business management, and that’s precisely where I can help. 

Through The Group Practice Exchange, I share my insights and learnings as a coach, educator, and trainer dedicated to social service professionals.
